The average rental price in Madrid rose by 7.8% in the first quarter of 2018 compared to the same period last year. And the trend seems to be continuing in the second quarter. It’s in all the local media because of the importance it has for residents but it’s also essential for all those who intend to relocate to Madrid.

The budget you set for housing is critical: it serves as a starting point for housing searches. And counting with a realistic estimate will greatly influence the success and speed of finding your new home.

Indeed, prices had fallen sharply during the years of the crisis, between 2009 and 2015. But it is also true that since the third quarter of 2016 they are reaching amounts that we had not known before.

Today we would like to step down to reality and show you 3 examples of properties that are currently being rented. These are 3 different typologies, which coincide with the ones we have worked on the most in recent years. Keep in mind that there are many more options: if you have a budget that is higher or lower than these examples, you are sure to find many other different options by modifying some of the variables (location, area, etc.). These are just 3 examples of current rental properties that we hope will help you get an idea of what you can find.

Prices vary widely within the same district depending, above all, on the exact location, the condition of the property and the quality of its finish, the costs included in the rent and whether it is furnished or not.
