And … the best area to live in Madrid is:

—Whenever I am asked this question, I think of myself wondering the same when I have to start looking for a home in a city I don’t know well —a thoughtful Almudena comments.
—Of course, it’s the starting point —Paloma affirms strongly.
—Yes! And the first step you have to take when starting your search —Almu agrees.
—Besides, it’s not like the Oscar awards, they’re not granted by votes —Palo adding the funny point.
—True!
—Depends on many variables
—And, above all, on the needs you have at that particular moment.

Madrid is the capital of Spain. In addition to being a city, it’s an Autonomous Community and one of Spain’s 50 provinces.

The Autonomous Community and the Province of Madrid occupy the same area but have different administrative powers. It is made up of 179 municipalities.

One of these municipalities is the capital city. Which, in turn, is divided into 21 districts and each of these into several neighborhoods.
—We’ll focus on those neighborhoods of the capital in which the majority of expatriates or displaced persons live —Palo determined points out.
—And also in the neighborhoods of the municipalities adjacent to Madrid which, in a certain way, complement the services offered by the capital with international schools, sports centres or social clubs —adds Almu.
—These are the areas in which we have been working for 15 years helping expatriates to settle.
—And that we know well.
—I’d even say that they offer a higher level and better quality of services.

Madrid is a city where you’ll find a huge mixture of properties. You have to bear in mind that in the same street and even in the same block, you can find a great building with very high quality flats and next to it another one with a much lower level.
—Don’t get us confused! The truth is that in some areas, superior qualities predominate and in other areas, inferior qualities predominate —explains Palo conscientiously.
—Exactly!
—In these areas we’re focusing, you can find all kinds of services: schools, medical centres, leisure, cultural activities, transport, etc.
—Also, the properties themselves, in general, are more cared for and in better conditions.
—And they’re of better quality.
—Of course, prices are in line, they’re not the cheapest in Madrid but there is plenty for all budgets — says Almu happy to deliver a nice fact.
