Annabelle Reyes arrived in Pozuelo on October 25, 1988 from the Dominican Republic. And it seems she got the area right because since then, she hasn’t moved.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She is the founder of Spanish and Lessons<\/a>, a boutique agency specializing in Spanish language teaching, promotion of Spanish culture and translations. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Getting to know Annabelle and Pozuelo de Alarc\u00f3n<\/h2>\n

How long have you lived in Pozuelo?<\/h4>\n
\n

I arrived in Madrid in 1988 with my parents. We landed in Barajas on October 25th from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. I was 13 years old and we settled in the area of Pozuelo. It was the best choice.<\/p>\n

I live in Pozuelo since then. I would not change it for anything. My daughters grew up in this area just like me.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What do you do in Madrid?<\/h4>\n
\n

I am a teacher of Spanish, translator and yoga instructor.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Why did you choose Pozuelo?\u2028<\/h4>\n
\n

I have lived here since I arrived in Spain and I wouldn’t change it for anything. My daughters have grown up in this area just like me.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What can you do on foot?<\/h4>\n
\n

I have stores, supermarkets, libraries and schools within walking distance.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Do you use public transport? Or private car?\u2028<\/h4>\n
\n

At the moment mostly private car.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Shopping in the neighborhood: a couple of favorite stores <\/h4>\n
\n

I shop in the neighborhood. Among my favorites: Aldi and La Despensa.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Leisure in the neighborhood: restaurants, bars<\/h4>\n
\n

We have great restaurants: Pintxaki, La Pulper\u00eda, Barco Aparicio, El Urogallo…<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Culture in the neighborhood: theaters, cinemas, museums…<\/h4>\n
\n

Very close in Pozuelo we have the Kinepolis and in Majadahonda the Renoir cinemas with VOS.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Tell us something about sports<\/h4>\n
\n

The sports centers in the area work very well. We are members of David Lloyd in Aravaca and we love the offer.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Green areas, which is your favorite?\u2028<\/h4>\n
\n

The parks in Pozuelo are wonderful and we have part of the Casa de Campo.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Would you say it\u2019s a children friendly area?<\/h4>\n
\n

My own daughters grew up here! There are a lot of schools, public, private, charter, international, etc.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Something you would like to add<\/h4>\n
\n

Pozuelo is an ideal place if you need schools, entertainment and tranquility with your family.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Pozuelo de Alarc\u00f3n is one of the more than 200 municipalities that make up the Autonomous Community of Madrid and the Province of Madrid. It borders the capital and is one of the wealthiest in Spain.<\/p>\n

Currently in Pozuelo, there is an offer of approximately 277 homes for rent with an average price of around 13,59\u20ac\/m2.<\/p>\n

There is a great variety of homes, apartments, flats, semi-detached and detached villas with a wide range of prices as well. 42% of them have 4 or more bedrooms. And 46% are 2 and 3 bedroom homes. There are also studios (3%) and 1-bedroom apartments (9%).<\/p>\n

Of these, 77% are rented with a garage, 73% have a terrace and 76% have a swimming pool.<\/p>\n
